KAFFA Cafés, the leading national brand in the production of encapsulated coffee, has just launched a new coffee capsule compatible with Dolce Gusto machines, increasing to 7 the types of different coffee capsules produced by KAFFA in Portugal.
The Trajouce unit will also produce soluble capsules (chocolate and cappuccino) compatible with the same Dolce Gusto system, thus expanding the offer that will contribute to strengthen the brand's market leadership in Portugal.
Available at major distribution chains, the new KAFFA blends , compatible with Dolce Gusto machines, are presented in packages of 16 coffee capsules (at a retail price of €3.99) and packages of 16 soluble capsules (at a retail price of €4.20).
Regarding this launch Óscar Galvão, President of Galvão & Noronha, the company that owns KAFFA Cafés says "Our focus on the launch of new, high quality products continues to be a priority. In 2016 we will continue our path of strengthening the production capacity in the manufacturing units in Portugal and Brazil because we believe that this is the only way we can respond, effectively and with quality, to the demands of domestic and international consumers."
2 million Euros for reinforcing production capacity and quality control
In 2016 the company will continue to increase its production capacity in the manufacturing units in Portugal and Brazil. An investment of 2 million euros that includes, besides the installation of 3 new production lines (one in Brazil and two in Portugal), the creation of a conservation area for ground coffee through silos and a new research and quality control laboratory (in Portugal) and also the integration of roasting in the new industrial unit to be migrated in 2016 in Brazil, in the state of S. Paulo. In terms of human resources and until the end of the year, the KAFFA Group plans to hire 13 new employees (10 in Portugal and 3 in Brazil).

In Brazil we are also in the process of migrating our food safety management system to the FSSC 22000 standard."
