KAFFA, a Portuguese brand of encapsulated coffee and a major player in the manufacture of coffee capsules in Europe and Portugal, has just launched its first biodegradable and compostable capsule
Compatible with the Nespresso system, the new KAFFA Biodegradable and Compostable range includes 6 blends and is already available on the national market and in the brand's online store
50% of the KAFFA Biodegradable and Compostable range is produced with organic coffee confirming the brand's leadership in national production of encapsulated organic coffee
A new KAFFA capsule compatible with the Nespresso system is now available on the national market. This is the first biodegradable and compostable capsule produced by KAFFA and marks the beginning of the KAFFA Biodegradable and Compostable range. With specific characteristics, the new compostable industrial capsule presents itself as an innovative solution with effective ecological gains that in addition to reducing the amount of plastic waste also contributes to reducing the time spent in landfills.
KAFFA's commitment to developing sustainable and environmentally friendly products is once again confirmed with this launch that uses organic coffee in 50% of the blends. In total, there are six (6) new KAFFA Biodegradable and Compostable blends compatible with the Nespresso system: Colombia Bio (intensity 7), Expresso (intensity 6), Forte Lungo (intensity 11), Fortissimo (intensity 12), Honduras Bio (intensity 8) and Decaf Bio (intensity 4).
"Environmental sustainability and organic production are two themes that have marked KAFFA's work for several years. Currently we produce, from 3 different origins, 8 references of organic coffee and since 2015 we hold some of the most important product certifications that prove organic production and responsible coffee sourcing (UTZ, Organic and FairTrade), says Pedro Henriques, Commercial Director of KAFFA, adding "this launch reinforces our commitment to nature and environmental protection".
