KAFFA, ended the year 2018 with a growth of 16%. For the third year in a row the company is showing double-digit growth, reaching sales of more than 164 million capsules last year.
2019 begins with investments of more than 2 million euros at the Trajouce plant, preparing the company for new, more sustainable and environmentally friendly projects. The investment - made in the acquisition of three new production lines, a new roaster and a new mill - increases the brand's production capacity by 20%, allowing KAFFA to reach production levels of over 16 million capsules per month.
The year that is now beginning will also be marked by an increase in the team of collaborators, which should reach 93 people by the end of the first semester.
"Last year was very challenging for KAFFA but we successfully accomplished our goal: we achieved outperforming market growth and confirmed our leadership in the production of compatible capsules" says Óscar Galvão, President of Galvão & Noronha (company that owns the KAFFA brand). "For 2019, we still have very ambitious goals, but we are sure that with the collaboration, dedication and commitment of the team of employees, we will be able to achieve the forecast of increasing the company's sales by 20%."
Pedro Henriques, KAFFA's Commercial Director, also faces the 2019 challenge with optimism "for some years now, KAFFA's installed production capacity has exceeded the company's needs.
Now, with the reinforced production structure and the new equipment recently acquired (more versatile and allowing us to handle smaller quantities of product), we are prepared to respond immediately to projects of any size.
