In 2021, KAFFA reinforces its corporate social responsibility policy, supporting two institutions that stand out for their contribution to promoting a more inclusive and caring society.
Continuing the solidarity campaign started last year, this Christmas KAFFA supports the Rede de Emergência Alimentar (Food Emergency Network) by donating, in food goods, 5% of sales from its special Christmas campaign. Running throughout the month of December, the Christmas Special campaign consists of a pack (offer of a KAFFA system espresso coffee machine with the purchase of 100 coffee capsules) that can be purchased online, directly at the Kaffa store (in Rio de Mouro) or by phone order.
Committed to defending the rights of people with disabilities and supporting their inclusion in society, KAFFA launched this Christmas a challenge to CERCIOEIRAS: to give visibility to the potential of people with intellectual disabilities and promote their participation in society by creating Christmas decorations with aluminum coffee capsule casings. The challenge, accepted by CERCIOEIRAS, materialized in the delivery of aluminum coffee capsule casings that were used in the Christmas decorations created by CERCIOEIRAS and that can be seen until December 18 in the CERCIOEIRAS'21 Christmas Exhibition and Sale, in the Municipal Bookstore-Gallery Verney (Oeiras).
"Last year we channeled KAFFA's social support to a local institution and we realized that our gestures, however small and humble, make a difference and help improve people's lives. This year, we decided to extend our social responsibility initiatives and support two institutions" says Pedro Henriques, Commercial and Marketing Director at KAFFA. "The Emergency Food Network, which addresses the needs of the families most affected by the pandemic, arose because we wanted to have a more global scope. The CERCIOEIRAS represents the continuity of our support to the local community, also justifying our commitment to the unconditional defense of the rights of people with disabilities, supporting their participation and giving visibility to their potential, promoting the full exercise of their citizenship" concludes.
